Terms and conditions
- By creating a ‘You Move Europe’ action you accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them;
- You can create one or more actions to advocate any cause that does not promote hatred, violence, discrimination or stereotypes based on race, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, nationality or religion:
- WeMove Europe reserves the right to remove any campaigns or comments that go against the values spelled out in our mission statement or do not fit our strategy in some other way;
- Advertisements for political parties or electoral candidates must not be conducted through ‘You Move Europe’;
- Actions may not be set up to collect email addresses, mobile phone numbers or other personal information about other users for the purpose of sending unsolicited commercial messages;
- If you would like to create a campaign using our website, you must set up an account with us. When setting up your account, you must provide information about yourself that is true, current and complete;
- When you provide us with your email address and, at your discretion, your mobile phone number, you consent to receiving messages (including by email, SMS and/or MMS) from us in relation to your campaign and other campaigns created on our website or by our partners;
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account. You are also solely responsible for all activities conducted through your account;
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising in connection with any unauthorised use of your account;
- As the creator of a campaign, you will be able to contact all the signatories of your petition who have agreed to that via email. You may use this for the sole purpose of sharing information directly relating to your action (such as sending updates on the number of signatures reached); not for fundraising or subscriptions (to your newsletter) purposes. You can not send more than 3 messages per week to any individual or organisation. You may not use this data for the purpose of promoting yourself as a political candidate, politician, for promoting any political party, or for commercial purposes;
- If you are an organisation and willing to sign a contract to protect the privacy rights of our members, it might be possible that we give you the email addresses of those people that signed your petition, and specifically agreed to us giving you their addresses. You must immediately stop sending messages (including by email, SMS and MMS) to anyone who asks to be unsubscribed from your communications;
- You release and forever discharge us from any liability, action, claim, injury, loss or damage you suffer or incur relating to, or in connection with, any action you create;
- This platform aims to influence European Union (EU) decisions makers, like the European Commission, the European Parliament and the member state’s governments who vote in the Council. We encourage you to address those actors, but we are also open to petitions that are aimed at national or local governments, institutions or individuals, especially if they have a European angle. (E.g. creating TTIP free zones on a local level.);
- By creating an action you give WeMove Europe and our related bodies corporate a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free and non-exclusive licence to use, modify, reproduce, publish, broadcast, communicate, display and distribute the action in any format, using any medium, for the purpose of promoting it;
- We do not allow links to third party petition sites in your action or in emails that you send out to your signees. We reserve the right to remove or edit actions and delete or edit emails that link to third party petitions in breach of this term;
- We may suspend or cancel your action if you fail to comply with your obligations under these Terms and Conditions;
- The WeMove Europe staff team will determine, in its discretion, whether there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions. When a breach has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate including but not limited to: immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use the ‘You Move Europe’ platform; legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis resulting from the breach;
- WeMove Europe is a Europe-wide organisation. Individual member countries may have additional regulations and applicable laws. Please ensure that you follow also those laws;
- There is no relationship of employment, partnership, agency or fiduciaries between you and us.
